2015-12-08 Working with the City Of London Corporation, GAP designed and delivered a Cleaner Air Action Days campaign. Air Quality Wardens engaged drivers on the streets of the City and asked them not to idle their engine when stationary. The campaign raised awareness of the importance of turning engines off as a way to improve air quality, and tested an approach to engage drivers around air pollution. We targeted areas around the City that are air pollution hot spots. Over the two Cleaner Air Action Days 512 drivers switched off their engines, saving an estimated 0.09 tonnes of carbon emissions equating to 350 litres of fuel. [1]  If all of the drivers engaged during these two days eliminate unnecessary...
